First Frame was established in 1994 by Surinder M. Talwar, a renowned Indian film maker, who has over 36 years of experience in the field. First Frame has had a wide ranging experience and exposure of working on different genres of film making and digital content production. It is capable of handling projects of all sizes and has an outstanding track record of handling different type of projects with different needs. First Frame has the capability of pushing the limits of what an independent film Production House can do.
First Frame has done work for a host of clients like - different Ministries of the Government of India including a number of films and AVs for Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, under the Ministry of Culture, Departments and Public Service undertakings of the State Governments in India, Bihar Tourism, Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee (B.T.M.C.), Adventure Wings of the Government, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Darjeeling), Social Organisations working in the field of Water & Natural Resource Management and Buddhism, as also corporate houses.

Presently, First Frame in focusing on subjects related to Tangible and Intangible Indian Cultural Heritage & Spirituality including Buddhism, Buddhist Heritage, Spiritual and Cultural Tourism. We have to our credit, a very large number of productions related to such subjects, including an internationally acclaimed Spiritual Tourism Promotion film made in English, Chinese, Japanese, Thai & Sinhala titled “Buddhism – A Spiritual Journey”, and an International Award Winning Music Video related to Traditional Indian Culture, which gave social messages in a unique way related to natural resources & water conservation and management. First Frame also has the honour of making the official documentary film from the Indian side, made during the inauguration of the Xuanzang Memorial at Nalanda in 2007. First Frame is renowned for its expertise on Buddhism and Indian Buddhist Heritage and therefore in 2022 we were assigned to make the documentary film on the first decade of the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), an Umbrella Buddhist Body representing a very large number of Buddhist Organisations belonging to different Buddhist traditions from all over the World.
In consonance with our focus, we are in the process of producing a unique documentary series to showcase the Sublime Wanderings (footsteps) of the Buddha and the most unique aspect of the unmatchable contributions of the famous Chinese Buddhist Monk-Scholar Master Xuanzang, popularly known as Hieun Tsang in India. His Sanskrit Dharma name was Mōkṣadeva, by which he was known in the Ancient Nalanda University and elsewhere in India in the 7th Century CE.
